It can be difficult to leave the beautiful views of the Caribbean, then owner of this kitchen - which has a house in Havana, Cuba - decided to have its Ontario, Canada, the house mimic sea mosaic tiles in blue tones set the tone in oceanic airspace. Curved columns mimic waves, and the net pages of the island, adding "an element of movement that the ever changing sky," says designer Tim Scott. White marble floors to create the appearance of a sandy beach, and Scott chose cabinetry with English sycamore veneer to produce the colors of the lush land in Havana. The kitchen overlooks the solarium of the house, and combined with all other design elements, it is an excellent way to create a Caribbean atmosphere between visits to Havana.
